Phaseolus vulgaris
Medium-early yellow-hulled wax bean with good yield.
The “Mountain Gold” bush bean is a stringless and robust wax bean variety. Wax beans are lighter in color, milder and have a more delicate taste than the green garden bean. The bushy plant grows to a height of approx. 40 - 60 cm and the pods are concentrated in the upper third, which makes harvesting easier. It can be harvested several times, which makes it very high-yielding. The round-oval pods are golden yellow, slightly curved and grow to a length of 12 - 14 cm. They are very versatile in the kitchen: They are suitable for salads, soups and as a vegetable garnish. The slightly sweet bush bean is also excellent for boiling, pickling or freezing.
