This traditional variety pioneered the spread of broccoli and has endured for a long time. When the main flower is harvested, numerous side shoots are still formed until autumn. Cultivation is much less complicated than with cauliflower and broccoli is versatile, very healthy and nutritious. The variety is best suited for stews, casseroles, salads or as a vegetable garnish.
