Beautiful dark nutty popcorn corn.
 This exceptional variety has a fine, nutty taste, a dark blue to black color and great puffing properties. The cobs are about 10 cm long and, like all popcorn corn, have to be dried well before processing – meanwhile they serve as a unique eye-catcher. At around 1.20m, the plant stays rather small and often forms 3 or more cobs. For optimal pollination, the maize should not be planted in a row, but in block form. The cobs can also be prepared when they are young (e.g. as grilled vegetables).
