Solanum lycopersicum L.
Small, flat-round flesh tomato with black shoulders.
The skin of the 6-8 cm Indigo Apple fruits contains a high proportion of anthocyanin (purple colouring), which makes them particularly healthy. The more sun the fruits get, the darker they colour in these areas. Hidden under the burst-resistant skin is the mildly flavoured flesh, which is ideal for salads, sauces or homemade ketchup. The high-yielding plant grows to around 1.80 metres tall in a greenhouse or covered outdoor area.
