The dark brown-red to dark purple 'Marizol Purple' impresses with its intense, spicy aroma. The plants grow to a height of approx. 1.20 m. At the 2024 tasting in Witzenhausen, the strong taste was highly praised and the 'Marizol Purple' tomato variety scored very well. The yield is good, not above average - but the taste is excellent! According to VEN, the tomato variety 'Marizol Purple' is an old family variety from the Black Forest. Joe Bratka, a well-known tomato variety collector and breeder from New Jersey (originating from the Freiburg area) is said to have used it in his breeding programs. He may also have bred it himself - whatever the case, this variety is wonderful and belongs in your gardens!
